Upon arrival at Wedmore Place, we were warmly greeted at check-in by the friendly front desk staff. the Ardennes room we stayed in had excellent strong lighting, particularly in the bathroom, offering a cozy ambiance. the property's European country house charm and the picturesque views from our window made us feel truly immersed in history and nature. the European-style Continental Breakfast served at Café Provencal was delightful, featuring fresh fruit, croissants, and pastries, although I missed having unflavored yogurt. the secluded location among the 400-acre winery added to the tranquil atmosphere, perfect for a romantic escape. We enjoyed the farm-to-table fare and Virginia's best wine at the Gabrial Archer Tavern, as well as the warm Settlers' Spiced Wine for two at the Merchants Square Tasting Room & Wine Bar. Overall, Wedmore Place offered a unique blend of comfort, history, and natural beauty that made our stay truly memorable.
